What Is SAP?

ABC's Second Audio Program channel (SAP) is used to send out a second language, typically a Spanish translation of the show. This allows people to view programs without subtitles. How Can I Get My TV To Broadcast In Spanish?

Consult the owner's manual of your television to find out how to select your SAP channel. SAP is only available on televisions with stereo. It generally is either a mechanical switch labeled "stereo-mono-sap" or can be found in your TV, VCR or cable menu. Follow the instructions in your manual to disable or enable the SAP channel. If you use your VCR as the reciever, you will need to use the VCR remote to activate or deactivate SAP. Some remotes will have a button labeled Audio Select, MTS or SAP, use this button to cycle SAP on and off.
